Show Critiques

In UKC shows Belgians are shown using a technique called assisted animation. Each dog is also given a written critique and a rating from a breeder judge. Below are Maddie's written critiques from the UKC shows that we have attended.

Judge: Sharon Redmer

Judge’s Comments: Complete scissor bite. Pretty balanced bitch, slightly off square. Medium bone standing straight front and rear. Chest short of elbow, tail short of hock. Balanced angulations front to rear. Good neck w/ slight arch. Coat abundant; black & little soft & little wavy in spots. Showing confidently. Quiet Belgian confidence. Good parallel planes. Zygomatics a little prominent. Would like just a little more length to the muzzle. Beautiful expression-lovely medium dark eyes, ears well set. Light easy side gait. Absolutely clean coming and going. Lovely girl!

A note from obedience judge, Joyce Ostby, who judged Maddie at the 2004 BSCA national Specialty in Graduate Novice. It was Maddie's first time doing Grad-Novice and for me to train the new Grad-Novice exercises.

"Of the two dogs in Graduate Novice we had dog #208 get first place with a score of 194. This dog appeared very seasoned and comfortable in the ring, only losing a few points on each excercise. This was the first time I had judged the new Graduate Novice class so it was nice to see a dog so polished with the new exercises. The Graduate Novice class contains beginning excercises for both the Open and Utility classes."
